Two New Members Selected to MHBA Board

The Maryland Horse Breeders Association has selected three incumbents and one new member to its 2023 Board of Directors. Incumbents returning to the board are Henry S. "Tim" Clark III, Charles C. Fenwick, Jr. and Thomas J. Rooney. William K. Boniface, who has previously served five separate terms on the board, returns. Lisa Hofstetter joins the board for the first time. Maryland-Based Stallion Imagining Dies

Imagining (Giant's Causeway--Daydreaming, by A.P. Indy) was euthanized Aug. 23 due to complications from colic, according to a release from Anchor & Hope Farm. The 14-year-old, who won the GI Man O' War S. in 2014 for Phipps Stable and Shug McGaughey, was under the care of veterinarians at New Bolton Center, where surgery was attempted, but the damage was deemed too severe. Anchor and Hope Farm Rebuild After Fire

The day it happened, Aug. 12, 2019, Louis Merryman didn't know what to expect, only that the next several months would not be easy ones.
