Widely expected to be one of the star attractions at the Conrad Jupiter Magic Millions sale, hip 515, a Redoute's Choice (Aus) half-brother to Group 3 winner Kaphero (Aus) from the extended female family of successful sire O'Reilly (NZ), was knocked down for a session-topping bid of A$1.2 million Friday on the Gold Coast. Consigned by Widden Stud as agent, the bay colt is out of G1SW Kapchat (NZ) (Centaine {Aus}), who has produced an additional stakes winner and two multiple stakes-placed runners to the cover of Redoute's Choice's sire Danehill. The August foal was purchased by Devitt and Gordon Investments.
