Million-Dollar Medaglia d'Oro Filly

Boasting a solid catalogue update in the form of her half-brother King of Rome (Ire) (Montjeu {Ire})–a two-time group winner since publication–a Medaglia d'Oro filly brought a bid of $1.1 million from Paul d'Arcy on behalf of Karen Sanderson Thursday at Keeneland. Hip 1084 is a daughter of Amizette (Forty Niner), who was acquired by breeders Stonewall Farm and Liberation Farm for $90,000 at KEEJAN in 2006; she was in foal to One Cool Cat at the time. They resold her this past January for $75,000. The filly's second dam is the venerable Courtly Dee (Never Bend).
