Hawk Wing Filly Goes for 300K at Tatts

Shamwari Lodge (Ire) (Hawk Wing–Ripalong {Ire}, by Revoque {Ire}) also made 300,000 guineas when bought by Ed Sackville of Kern Lillingston Bloodstock on behalf of Ronan Burns of Lodge Park Stud. “She was an exceptionally tough racing filly, and that was what we particularly liked,” said Sackville. “She also scoped exceptionally well with a grade 1 result. She has been bought as a breeding prospect.” The four-year-old, a Group 3 winner herself, is out of a half-sister to champion sprinter Pipalong (Ire) (Pips Pride {GB}).
