Hip 34, a colt from the first crop by Eclipse winner Bernardini (A.P. Indy) from the high-profile family of champion Gold Beauty (Mr. Prospector), brought a final bid of $1.2 million to top the early returns at FTSAUG Monday. Consigned by Eaton Sales, the bay was purchased by John Ferguson. The dam, SW Storm Beauty (Storm Cat), in foal to A.P. Indy, was acquired by the yearling's breeder Brushwood Stable for $2.2 million at KEENOV 2004. She foaled a filly in 2005 that sold for $675,000 as a KEESEP yearling; a 2006 colt by A.P. Indy brought $700,000 at KEESEP in 2007.
