A colt by Grade I winner Victor's Cry (Street Cry {Ire})–Vulcan Rose, by Fusaichi Pegasus was knocked down to William Scott for a final bid of C$85,000 to lead the returns through hip 260 of 320 catalogued for Thursday's CTHS Canadian Premier Yearling Sale at Woodbine. An April foal, the bay was consigned to the sale by Susan Y. Foreman as agent for the colt's breeder Phoenix Rising Farm. Hip 120 is a half-brother to Ontario Lassie S. winner Ellan Vannin (Spring At Last) and is out of a half-sister to Essential Edge (Storm Cat), winner of the GII Canadian S. and dam of GSP Leading Edge (Tapit). Second dam Rose of Tara (Ire) (Generous {Ire}) is a half-sister to G1SW Salsabil (Ire) (Sadler's Wells) and Marju (Ire) (Last Tycoon {Ire}). A detailed report will appear in Saturday's TDN.
