GISW Tuscan Evening (Ire) (Oasis Dream {GB}) collapsed and died after a six-furlong workout on the turf at Del Mar Sunday morning, it was reported by TVG. The five-year-old mare was perfect in six starts this year, most recently annexing the GIII Modesty H. at Arlington July 17. She was prepping for the Aug. 21 GI Beverly D. S. A necropsy is scheduled to be performed to determine an exact cause of death. Overall, Tuscan Dream, trained by Jerry Hollendorfer, compiled a record of 28-13-4-5 and earned $1,148,508 for owner William deBurgh.
