Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sale Catalogues Available

The catalogues offering a total of 487 yearlings at the Sept. 19-20 Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sale, with an additional 271 yearlings offered during the Part II sale a day later, are now available, Tattersalls Ireland announced Tuesday. A quartet of 2016 Classic winners–Galileo Gold (GB) (Paco Boy {Ire}), Hawksmoor (Ire) (Azamour {Ire}), Wicklow Brave (GB) (Beat Hollow {GB}) and Conselice (GB) (Showcasing {GB})–are past graduates of the sale, with its record gaining further luster with the recent victory of Unfortunately (Ire) (Society Rock {Ire}) in the G2 Prix Robert Papin at Maisons-Laffitte.

Some of the sires on offer include: Dark Angel (Ire), Kodiac (GB), Iffraaj (GB), Invincible Spirit (Ire), Acclamation (GB), Exceed And Excel (Aus), Teofilo (Ire), Sea The Stars (Ire), Nathaniel (Ire), Society Rock (Ire), Havana Gold (Ire), Holy Roman Emperor (Ire), and Fast Company (Ire). First-season sires also have a number of yearlings ready to go under the hammer, with Australia (GB), Charm Spirit (Ire), Kingsbarns (Ire), No Nay Never, Noble Mission (GB), Olympic Glory (Ire), Slade Power (Ire), Toronado (Ire) and War Command being represented.

Among the lots of interest, is a Gale Force Ten (GB) colt (lot 122) out of a half-sister to French champion juvenile colt and G1 Prix Morny hero Elusive City (Elusive Quality). Consigned by Castlebridge Consignment, the January foal is also related to SW Parisian Affair (Mr. Greeley), who in turn has produced US SW Crimson China (Giant's Causeway).

Lot 221, a Dandy Man (Ire) colt out of a half-sister to European champion stayer Order of St George (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}), is consigned by Ballybin Stud. Group 3 winners Asperity (War Chant) and Angel Terrace (Ghostzapper), are also half-sisters to the dam Stormy View (Cozzene).

Grove Stud consigns lot 234, a daughter of SP Susi Wong (Ire) (Selkirk). By G1 Sussex S. hero Toronado, she is a half-sister to three stakes winners, among them Buccellati (GB) (Soviet Star), who landed the G3 Ormonde S.

Unfortunately's half-sister Red Roar (Ire) (Chineur {Fr}) is also represented in September, by lot 577. The Tally-Ho Stud-consigned colt is by Morpheus (GB), an Oasis Dream (GB) half to none other than undefeated champion Frankel (GB) (Galileo {Ire}). This is also the family of G2 Temple S. heroine Look Busy (Ire) (Danetime {Ire}).

All yearlings cataloged are eligible for the €300,000 Tattersalls Ireland Super Auction Sales S. at The Curragh on Longines Irish Champions Weekend in 2018. The sale will begin at 10:00 a.m. local time each day, with the published catalogue available on July 31.
