De Bruyne Horse | Racing Post

De Bruyne Horse, who was a May 7 debut fifth at Newmarket, followed up victories at Ripon May 21 and at Epsom June 2 with an eighth in Royal Ascot's June 20 G2 Coventry S. and went postward for this second French venture returning off a fourth in The Curragh's July 1 G2 Railway S. and a sixth in the July 23 G2 Prix Robert Papin at Maisons-Laffitte. Positioned just behind the pace in third after the initial exchanges sporting first-time cheekpieces here, he challenged going well at the quarter-mile marker and was driven out inside the final eighth to withstand the unwarranted attention of Red Line for a first stakes triumph.

De Bruyne Horse becomes the first black-type winner for Right Rave (Ire) (Soviet Star) and he is a half-brother to a yearling filly by Coach House (Ire) and a colt foal by Swiss Spirit (GB). His third dam Fearless (GB) (Groom Dancer) is kin to G1 Nunthorpe S. hero and leading sire Pivotal (GB) (Polar Falcon) and to Resurgence (GB) (Polar Falcon), who in turn produced G1 Irish 2000 Guineas and G1 St. James's Palace S.-winning sire (Ire) (Mull of Kintyre). De Bruyne Horse's fourth dam is G1 Premio Lydia Tesio heroine Stufida (GB) (Bustino {GB}), who is also the second dam of G1 Oaks d'Italia runner-up Polar Charge (GB) (Polar Falcon).
