A pair of colts related to Hall of Famer Rachel Alexandra (Medaglia d'Oro) make their respective debuts Saturday in New Orleans. Jackpot Farm and Dede McGehee's Airstreem (Tapit) is a half-brother to the five-time Grade I winner and, like Rachel was for most of her career, is conditioned by Steve Asmussen. A debut winner herself towards the end of her 2-year-old season, dam Lotta Kim (Roar) was second in the 2003 GII Golden Rod S. before taking the local Tiffany Lass S. in early 2004 for owner/breeder Dolphus Morrison. Since Rachel Alexandra, she has produced GSP Dolphus (Lookin At Lucky) and SP Wooderson (Awesome Again)–both two-turn types. Airstreem was a $375,000 KEESEP RNA.

Brittlyn Stable homebred Steadytillready (Curlin), meanwhile, shares a second dam with Airstreem and Rachel Alexandra. His winning dam Unamused (Street Sense) brought $900,000 at the 2015 Keeneland November sale while in foal to Medaglia d'Oro. Trainer Jose Camejo wins at a solid clip and boasts a strong ROI with his firsters. TJCIS PPs
