Bloodstock agent Kerri Radcliffe has been as prominent as any buyer over the course of the two days of selling at the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Selected Yearlings Sale, and she signed for her first seven-figure horse Tuesday. Hip 186, a Gainesway-consigned son of 2013 GI Kentucky Derby hero Orb managed to breach that threshold, selling to Radcliffe for an even $1 million to equal Monday's top price. A Mar. 28 foal, the chestnut is the first foal from Flashy American (Flashy Bull), a Grade III winner and third in the GI Delaware Oaks, who was purchased by Blue Sky Stable carrying the Orb colt in utero for $395,000 at the 2016 Fasig-Tipton February Sale. Both mare and foal were reoffered at FTKNOV last year, Flashy American selling in foal to Tapit to Brushwood Farm for $950,000, while her Orb colt fetched $310,000 from Davant Latham. Hip 186 also hails from the family of the talented I'm Already Sexy (Ready's Image). Radcliffe has now signed for six horses for gross receipts just shy of $4 million.
