Racing Welfare to Award Best Turned Out Prize in Palace House S.

Racing Welfare's Best Turned Out, supported by Betfair, will see the charity award the BTO prize in the G3 Palace House S. at Newmarket on Saturday, June 6th, the charity announced on Sunday. The race has been renamed the G3 Betfair Supports Racing Welfare Palace House S. in honour of the initiative. All yards with a runner in the race will be offered the chance to submit a short video clip or image of their preparation in the lead up to the race, with the winner determined by public vote on Racing Welfare's website. Voters are encouraged to donate the price of a racecard to Racing Welfare's COVID-19 Emergency Appeal when they vote, with Betfair matching the total amount of money donated in the run up to the race up to £30,000. Voting begins at 6 p.m. on June 5th and will close at the start of the race on Saturday. For more details on the BTO award, go to www.racingwelfare.co.uk/rwbto.

“We have enjoyed supporting Racing Welfare for a number of years and given the number of fundraising events they have had to cancel this year we were keen to help with not only a donation but also to raise the profile of the incredibly important work they do for the racing community, especially during this challenging time, said Betfair Racing Campaigns Manager Jessica Stafford. “This initiative will provide a really unique way to recognise and champion the hard work that stable staff put in to getting their horse's prepared for race day.”
