SIGALERT (c, 2, Street Sense&log=">Street Sense–Ouchy Night {MSP, $209,793}, by Cactus Ridge) was a $75,000 SARAUG yearling purchase turned $420,000 OBSMAR 2yo buy after breezing in :10 flat and was favored at 9-2 in this career bow. Away alertly, the New York-bred raced in mid-pack through a sharp first quarter in :21.81. Progressing up the fence to be third exiting the bend, the bay tipped out two wide in the lane, collaring the leader Stubbins (Morning Line) in the final sixteenth and holding off a belated bid from Extra Hope (Shanghai Bobby) to win by a half-length. Stubbins finished another half-length back in third. The winner is a half-brother to Wild About Harry (Henrythenavigator), SP, $203,306. His MSP dam and fellow Edition Farm homebred Ouchy Night produced a Street Boss colt in 2017 and a Malibu Moon filly in 2018. She was bred back to Candy Ride (Arg).
