Prayer For Relief to Stand at Pleasant Acres

Zayat Stables' four-time graded stakes winner Prayer for Relief (Jump Start–Sparklin Lil, by Mr. Sparkles), earner of $2,277,948 will join the stallion roster at Joe and Helen Barbazon's Pleasant Acres Stallion in Morriston, Florida for the 2017 season, it was announced Monday. The dark bay, who compiled a record of 8-6-10 from 46 lifetime starts, will stand for a fee of $3,500.

“We are very happy to have this fine individual here at Pleasant Acres Stallions,” said Joe Barbazon. “He retired sound, is the winner of over $2.2 million, and I fully intend to breed some of my own mares to him. We are happy to welcome the Zayat family and stables to Pleasant Acres Stallions.”

Prayer For Relief bagan his career as a 2-year-old in July 2010 and competed almost exclusively in stakes company until his retirement earlier this year. He won the GIII Iowa Derby, GII West Virginia Derby and GII Super Derby in 2011 and the GIII Prairie Meadows Cornhusker H. in 2013.
