+MO FOR THE MONEY (c, 2, Uncle Mo–Unenchantedevening, by Unbridled's Song), dismissed at 8-1 for this unveiling, survived a stretch battle with the heavy favorite and a steward's inquiry to become the 16th winner for his leading freshman sire (by Indian Charlie). Having fired several bullets at Fair Hill before a :48 3/5 (10/44) spin from the gate here Oct. 23, the $225,000 KEESEP yearling took up a spot just behind the leaders early. He ranged up three deep to seize command before the quarter pole, but Seymourdini (Bernardini)–a $900,000 OBSAPR buy and debut runner-up–was breathing down his neck. Mo for the Money drifted out into the middle of the track as the chalk continued his pursuit in the lane, but was never headed before crossing the wire a half-length to the good. The winner, a half to Indian Evening (Indian Charlie), SW & GSP, $140,172, hails from the female family of Horse of the Year Favorite Trick (Phone Trick), as well as GI Breeders' Cup Sprint entrant Favorite Tale (Tale of the Cat).
