Just a Way to Stand at Shadai

JUST A WAY TO STAND AT SHADAI
Just a Way (Jpn) (Heart's Cry {Jpn}), who has led the way in the Longines World's Best Racehorse Rankings since his Mar. 29 G1 Dubai Duty Free victory through the most recent publication of those standings Nov. 9, will enter stud this year at Shadai Stallion Station in Hokkadio, Japan, according to Racing Post. The 6-year-old will stand alongside his sire for a fee of ¥3.5 million (US$29,758).

Just a Way's other Group 1 scores came in the 2013 Tenno Sho Autumn, where he bested dual G1 Japan Cup winner and Horse of the Year Gentildonna (Jpn) (Deep Impact {Jpn}) by four lengths, and the G1 Yasuda Kinen fresh off the plane from Dubai in June. Just a Way was a non-disgraced eighth in the G1 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe Oct. 5, and after finishing second in the Japan Cup he rounded out his career with a fourth-place finish behind Gentildonna in the G1 Arima Kinen Dec. 28.
