SCHRODINGER (Justin Phillip) dropped the hammer for $550,000 at the OBS March sale after blistering the co-second fastest eighth of the sale in :9.4. The Kaleem Shah-owned colt, originally a $70,000 FTKOCT pick-up,
has drilled two bullet works in the past five weeks for trainer Simon Callaghan, including a swift :47.0 (1/77) half-mile out of the gate at Santa Anita June 15. He is the first starter for his dam Cersei (Malibu Moon), an unraced daughter of Phipps Stables' Grade I-winning mare Oh What a Windfall (Seeking the Gold) and from the family of Champion 3-year-old filly Heavenly Prize (Seeking the Gold).
