Jack Milton to Crestwood Farm

Jack Milton (War Front–Preserver, by Forty Niner), winner of the GI Maker's 46 Mile S. Apr. 10, will stand stud at Pope McLean's Crestwood Farm in Kentucky for the 2016 season. He will stand for a fee of $6,500 LFSN and will participate in the “Share the Upside” program.

“We are absolutely thrilled to bring Jack Milton to Crestwood,” McLean said. “He will be the only Grade I winning son of War Front to retire this year and he has the co-fastest Ragozin number, a 2, for any son of War Front standing at stud. He is from a huge female family and is also a very nice physical. We are confident that he will be well received by breeders.”

Campaigned by Gary Barber and trainer Todd Pletcher, the 5-year-old retired in October with a record of 19-5-2-5 and earnings of $853,828. In addition to his career high in the Maker's 46 Mile, the dark bay annexed the 2013 GIII Transylvania S. and 2014 GIII Poker S. He also hit the board in five additional graded events, three of which were Grade Is.

Jack Milton is a full-brother to GSW Peace Preserver, and a half to graded stakes-placed Stake (Boundary) and My Rachel (Horse Chestnut {Saf}).
