TEN DEMERITS (f, 3, Into Mischief–Pussycat Doll {MGISW, $797,183}, by Real Quiet) tracked the pace three deep after breaking from a wide gate, was sent into the lead on the far turn and outstayed first-starter and $475,000 Keeneland November weanling Commentary (The Factor) to break her maiden by 3/4 of a length as the 21-10 favorite Wednesday afternoon at Tampa. A rallying fifth after drifting far back on her Nov. 21 debut sprinting at Parx, the homebred improved to be a distant runner-up going seven panels at this venue Dec. 30 in her two previous efforts. Ten Demerits is the fifth winner from as many to race for her dam, who posted a trio of Grade I victories at seven furlongs, including the 2005 La Brea S. Pussycat Doll, a daughter of 1999 La Brea winner Hookedonthefeelin (Citidancer), is also the dam of Aquaphobia (Giant's Causeway), SW, $174,110; and Forever Popular (Dynaformer), SW-Eng, in addition to the stakes-placed Set to Music (Dynaformer). Pussycat Doll's half-brother Jimmy Creed (Distorted Humor) was represented by 20 individual winners from his first crop of runners in 2017. Barren to Into Mischief for 2017, Pussycat Doll was most recently bred to Uncle Mo. Lifetime Record: 3-1-1-0, $17,150. Click for the Equibase.com chart or VIDEO, sponsored by Fasig-Tipton.
