There are now over 100 lots on offer at The Great Racing Welfare Auction which will be held virtually this year because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Racing Welfare announced on Thursday. One of the new items up for bid is the Ultimate Aintree Grand National package-the chance for two people to attend the invite-only Grand National Weights Lunch in February, a course walk with Carrie Ford and a day at the races on Grand National Day with a place for two at the Chairman's Lunch and more. Other notable lots for the auction include a four-person tour of Coolmore Stud and Ballydoyle followed by lunch at Mikey Ran's Bar & Grill in Cashel. There is also a round of golf at Sunningdale with Sir AP McCoy, stable tours, mornings on the gallops and holidays up for grabs.

All proceeds from the auction will go toward Racing Welfare's COVID-19 Emergency Appeal. Bidding is open until 8 p.m. on Sept. 24, with the total raised already over £20,000. To bid, please go to www.jumblebee.co.uk.

“We are thrilled to be adding these fantastic new lots to the Great Racing Welfare Auction, they really are money can't buy experiences,” said Racing Welfare Head of Fundraising Mark Loades. “We have been blown away by both the generosity of those making donations and by the response to the lots that are already online.  There is a brilliant range on offer for all budgets and I would encourage everyone to take a look and to get bidding.”
