Grade I Winner Tamarando to Stand at Harris Farms

Mr. and Mrs. Larry D. Williams' homebred GI Del Mar Futurity winner Tamarando (Bertrando–Tamarack Bay, by Dehere) has been retired from racing and will enter stud at Harris Farms in California for a fee of $2,500, it was announced Wednesday. Tamarando won at distances from 5 1/2 furlongs to 1 1/8 miles in his first 10 starts, winning the Del Mar Futurity, GIII El Camino Real Derby on Tapeta and Real Quiet S., and placing in the GI FrontRunner S. and GI CashCall Futurity. He retires with four wins from 31 starts and earnings of $722,652.

Tamarando is out of the Grade II-placed winner Tamarack Bay and is a half-brother stakes winners Luckarack (Lucky Pulpit) and U'narack (Unusual Heat).
