The Goffs UK Autumn Sale at Doncaster, featuring 115 yearlings and 285 horses-in-training, catalogue is available online. The yearlings are slated to sell at 12:00 p.m. on Nov. 7, with the horses-in-training offered the day after beginning at 10:00 a.m. local time.
Doncaster yearling graduates that have enjoyed success at the highest level in 2017 include MG1SW Harry Angel (Ire) (Dark Angel {Ire}); G1 St James's Palace S. victor Barney Roy (GB) (Excelebration {Ire}); and recent G1 Fillies' Mile heroine Laurens (Fr) (Siyouni {Fr}). Horses-in-training graduate Thomas Hobson (GB) (Halling), a winner at Royal Ascot this year, is pointing toward the G1 Melbourne Cup in November. Godolphin and Shadewell are both represented by drafts during the horses-in-training portion, as are trainers John Gosden, Richard Fahey and Willie Mullins to name a few.
“Our Yearling and Horses-in-Training sale graduates have had an excellent year on the track and this sale has contributed to that success through the likes of Mabs Cross (GB) (Dutch Art {GB}) who took the Listed Fillies' Sprint S. earlier this month, her fourth consecutive win in 2017, and Thomas Hobson who won at Royal Ascot and is now vying for a place in the Melbourne Cup in Australia,” said Goffs UK Managing Director Tony Williams. “The 2017 catalogue will offer some highly promising young horses from some excellent consignors and will also offer buyers yearlings that are eligible for the £300,000 Goffs UK Premier Yearling S. at York next August.”
