The chestnut got an ideal set-up, racing in sixth in the early stages as five rivals scrambled for the lead through fractions of :22 3/5 and :45 3/5. Picking up the chase midway on the turn, he threaded through an opening in the middle of the course turning for home and rallied to post a 2 3/4-length score over Bears Terminator (Tiznow), who held best of the pacesetters. The winner, a $350,000 KEESEP yearling acquisition, is a half to Stormello (Stormy Atlantic), GISW, $700,100; My Best Brother (Stormy Atlantic), GSW, $363,392; and Gala Award (Bernardini), GSW, $258,044.
