FORGE (GB) (c, 3, Dubawi {Ire}–Heat Haze {GB} {MGISW-US & SW-Fr, $1,183,696}, by Green Desert), who was a disappointing seventh on debut over seven furlongs at Newmarket in August, attracted significant support into 5-6 favouritism and shadowed the early leader Heir To a Throne (Fr) (Siyouni {Fr}) traveling easily. Allowed to stride to the front with over two furlongs remaining, the homebred drew away with the minimum of fuss to record a convincing five-length success. Forge is from arguably one of the world's finest families that hardly needs any introduction. He is a son of the 2003 GI Beverly D. S. and eGI Matriarch S. heroine Heat Haze (GB) (Green Desert), just one of five top-level winners out of Hasili (Ire) alongside the Danehill progeny Banks Hill (GB), Cacique (Ire), Champs Elysees (GB) and Intercontinental (GB). Hasili's best known representative is the similarly high-class performer and now highly influential sire Dansili (GB) and the hereditary gold is set to continue its flow with Heat Haze having produced a 2-year-old colt by Frankel (GB) named Mirage Dancer (GB). Unfortunately, she was barren to that illustrious presence in 2015. Lifetime Record: 2-1-0-0, $7,453. Video, sponsored by Fasig-Tipton.
