Divine Park (Chester House–High in the Park, by Ascot Knight), the sire of the undefeated GISW Lady Eli, was imported into Korea as of Jan. 28 to join the local stallion ranks. The 12-year-old will stand in Jeju-do, the center of the country's breeding industry, according to Korean bloodstock agent Jun Park, who brokered the deal. In addition to Lady Eli, Divine Park, impressive winner of the 2008 GI Metropolitan H., has sired three additional black-type winners and the earners of over $5.7 million from six crops. Divine Park previously stood at Brereton C. Jones's Airdrie Stud in Kentucky. Old Fashioned (Unbridled's Song–Collect Call, by Meadowlake) will also relocate to Jeju-do in 2016. The sire of MGISW Fashion Plate and other GSWs Sweet Whiskey and Fashion Alert, the gray stallion is already represented by a handful of runners in Korea, including Cheongu, a five-time winner who recently made history by becoming the first Korean-based horse to start at the Dubai World Cup Carnival. According to the Korean Racing Authority website (www.kra.co.kr), other recent stallion imports from the U.S. include Bob and John (Seeking the Gold–Minister's Melody, by Deputy Minister) and Musket Man (Yonaguska–Fortuesque, by Fortunate Prospect).
