+GRACIDA (r, 2, Custom for Carlos–Tensas Wedding Joy, by Broken Vow) acquired for $400,000 by Amr Zedan's fledgling Zedan Racing Stables at the Fasig-Tipton Florida sale, made his debut a winning one with a front-running tally Saturday at Del Mar. Breaking a bit outwardly from the outside slot, the chestnut quickly shot to the front and cleared the field through a composed quarter-mile in :22.34. Turning for home with a commanding lead, he never allowed a rival to reach even terms and zipped home to score by some two lengths in :58.44. Fleetwood (Munnings) slid up the rail to complete the exacta. Previously sold for $65,000 as a Keeneland November weanling and $80,000 as a Fasig-Tipton July yearling, the ridgling traveled to the West Coast following his March sale in Florida and drilled steadily at Santa Anita in recent weeks. The winner is a full-brother to GI La Troienne S. heroine Big World. Gracida's dam–Tensas Wedding–is also responsible for a yearling filly by Trappe Shot and weanling filly by Honor Code. Sales history: $65,000 Wlg '15 KEENOV; $80,000 Ylg '16 FTKJUL; $400,000 2yo '17 FTFMAR. Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, $36,000. Click for the Equibase.com chart or VIDEO, sponsored by Fasig-Tipton.
