Grade I Winner on Turf and Dirt, Catholic Boy New at Claiborne

He won graded stakes at 2, 3 and 4, and Grade Is on turf and dirt. Catholic Boy, by More Than Ready, is new to Claiborne Farms Kelsey Riley talks to Bernie Sams.

Catholic Boy is a young sire who will appeal to many breeders being a Grade One winner on both the dirt and turf, being by international sire More Than Ready, and out of a daughter of Bernardini.

The highlights for Catholic Boy's race record was the Belmont Derby, but the real highlight was probably the Travers. And to get a horse like that that can win dirt and turf Grade One races in top class company, it doesn't happen very often. So it's made him very popular amongst the breeders.
