Dear TDN Editor: Some may argue that Thoroughbred racing is a contact sport. Twelve-hundred-pound athletes running at 40 mph around an oval and navigating through holes as tight as the eye of a needle might support that reasoning. Our racing stewards are there to guard against the worst from happening and protecting the integrity and safety of the sport of Thoroughbred racing. 'Trivia Night at the Museum' to be Held Aug. 23

In partnership with ThoroFan, the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame will host "Trivia Night at the Museum" Monday, Aug. 23. Retired NYRA announcer Tom Durkin will serve as "Quizmaster" for the event which is scheduled for 6 p.m. Contestants can compete individually or as a maximum four-person team. Prizes will be awarded.
