A series of presentations at race tracks across the nation will commemorate the 50th Anniversary of The Jockey Club of Canada, the organization said in a release late Wednesday. Beginning with the Manitoba Derby at Assiniboia Downs on Aug. 7, current Jockey Club of Canada members will be attending various key race days at tracks in British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario. The Jockey Club of Canada Hosts the Sovereign Awards

The Jockey Club of Canada will host the annual Sovereign Awards, a ceremony to honor Canada's champions of 2022, and outstanding achievement in Thoroughbred racing and breeding. Held in Toronto, the 48th edition will take place April 13, 2023. Slight Changes to Sovereign Award Guidelines

The Jockey Club of Canada, which recognizes outstanding achievements in Canadian Thoroughbred racing and breeding with the annual Sovereign Awards, is implementing changes to the guidelines for some of the awards, effective for the current year.
