Hall of Fame Farm Tour Series Begins With McMahon of Saratoga Thoroughbreds

The National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame is partnering with seven regional farms and Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital for exclusive behind-the-scenes tours from May through October. The tours will be offered at no cost, courtesy of the New York Thoroughbred Breeding and Development Fund. The Museum's tour series kicks off Saturday, May 23, at McMahon of Saratoga Thoroughbreds. 'Rising Star' Dazzle d'Oro Euthanized after Catastrophic Training Injury

'TDN Rising Star' Dazzle d'Oro (Bolt d'Oro) sustained a catastrophic training injury Monday morning, and had to be euthanized, trainer Tom Amoss announced via X. Barn 85 at Saratoga Placed Under Quarantine Due to Strangles Positive

The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) and the New York State Gaming Commission (NYSGC) have placed Barn 85 at Saratoga Race Course under a 14-day precautionary quarantine until further notice due to a positive case of strangles in that barn. Strangles is a contagious bacterial infection that generally affects a horse's respiratory system and causes symptoms similar to those of strep throat in humans. In an effort to find out why 2024 Horse of the Year Thorpedo Anna (Fast Anna) ran so poorly in the GI Fasig-Tipton La Troienne S. Edited Press Release Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital is pleased to announce the installation of an equine positron emission tomography (PET) scanner at the Lexington, Kentucky, hospital. This modality is used for diagnostic imaging in select lameness cases and can be used in standing, sedated horses. It does not require general anesthesia.
