The Canadian Thoroughbred Horse Society (CTHS) Ontario Mixed Sale, held Oct. 18 at the Woodbine Sales Pavilion, generated the second-highest average and median of the last seven years. At the Woodbine Sales Pavilion Aug. 30, a full-brother to Canadian Horse of the Year Pink Lloyd (Old Forester) led the way with $150,000 at this year's Canadian Premier Yearling Sale, the Canadian Thoroughbred Horse Society (CTHS)'s Ontario Division said in a release Thursday morning. Dalos Resigns As CTHS director; Hunderup, Marzilli Appointed

Colleen Dalos resigned as a Director of the Canadian Thoroughbred Horse Society (CTHS) effective May 18, 2023, the Board of Directors has announced. Dalos served the Society and its membership for two years. René Hunderup and Robert Marzilli have been appointed to the board. Hunderup (Norse Ridge Farms), has been a member since 1998 while Marzilli (Zilli Racing Stable) has been a member since 2018. A yearling colt by Cairo Prince topped the Canadian Thoroughbred Horse Society (CTHS) Ontario Yearling Sale, also known as the Canadian Premier Yearling Sale, and helped spur a steep rise of the average, which was up by 28% over the 2021 edition. The Canadian Thoroughbred Horse Society's Premier Yearling Sale, to be held Aug. 31 at Woodbine, has attracted over 200 entries and will include yearlings by 67 different stallions.
