ANNA'S FAST (Fast Anna) turned heads last month when breezing a furlong in :9 4/5 at OBS March, and her swiftness was rewarded with a $470,000 winning bid from Mike Hall's Breeze Easy, handily the highest price paid for a progeny of her freshman sire (by Medaglia d'Oro) thus far. The sale was a pinhooking coup for De Meric Stables, who purchased the filly for just $32,500 as a Fasig-Tipton July yearling, and she is entered to make her career debut in this sprint for Wesley Ward, who looks for his fifth 2-year-old winner of the Keeneland meet. The bay shows a trio of three-furlong breezes, capped by a bullet move in :35 1/5 (1/4) here Apr. 15. She is bred to be precocious on the bottom side, as both her dam and second dam were first-out winners, the latter by 21 lengths at Calder in 2003. Ward also entered Christina Jelm's Ms Headley (The Big Beast), a $20,000 OBSMAR pickup who would represent the first starter for her freshman sire (by Yes It's True) and appears to have been working in company with Anna's Fast.

Andrew Rosen went to $435,000 to secure KEEPME IN THEGAME (Pioneerof the Nile) at Keeneland September in 2017 and the Shug McGaughey trainee opens her account in this two-turn turf test. The dark bay is a half-sister to MGISW New Money Honey (Medaglia d'Oro), while her unraced dam, who sold for $1.4 million to Summer Wind Equine at KEENOV in 2017, is a full to GISW Any Given Saturday (Distorted Humor). She shows a steady worktab at Payson Park before wrapping up preparations with a half-mile breeze over the local main track in :49 4/5 (37/49) Apr. 17.
