Australian wonder mare Winx (Aus) (Street Cry {Ire}), who has won 13 consecutive races and signed off her spring campaign with a second victory in Mooney Valley's G1 Cox Plate Oct., is nearing a return to the races, reported racenet.com.au Monday.

Trainer Chris Waller confirmed the news, stating, “She's dead set three weeks away from a trial. She'll have a couple of trials.”

Winx, who races for an ownership group, will resume in the 1400-metre G2 Apollo S. at Randwick Feb. 11, before stepping back up to Group 1 level in the G1 Chipping Norton S. at Warwick Farm Feb. 25.

“Autumn comes around pretty quick this year, so she'll be racing mid-February,” Waller continued. “The Apollo, Chipping Norton, [G1] George Ryder [S. at Rosehill Mar. 17] and [G1] Queen Elizabeth [S. at Randwick Apr. 7]. That's the campaign at this stage. There are other options, but that's my preferred route.”
