Hip 98, an Into Mischief colt bred by Ivan Dalos's Tall Oaks Farm, was knocked down to Gretchen Jackson for $850,000 as the first of two sessions of the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Selected Yearling Sale drew towards its conclusion Monday evening. The Ontario-bred bay was consigned to the sale by Kitty Taylor's Warrendale Sales agency and brought a great deal of pedigree appeal, as he descends from the same Storm Cat sire line as GSW Ami's Holiday (Harlan's Holiday) as well as 'TDN Rising Star' Ami's Mesa (Sky Mesa), recent winner of the GIII Ontario Matron S. Hip 98's stakes-placed second dam Secret Ami (Secret Claim) is responsible for Sovereign Award-winning sophomore Ami's Gizmo (Giant Gizmo)–another from the Storm Cat line–and GSW Ami's Flatter (Flatter).
