Hip 511, a Gainesway-consigned full-sister to Grade I winners To Honor and Serve and Angela Renee (Bernardni), was knocked down to Justin Zayat for $1.5 million to take over at the top of day three at Keeneland September. A Mar. 27 foal, the bay is the most recent produce of Pilfer (Deputy Minister), who has seen her value appreciate dramatically with the exploits of the two aforementioned top-level winners. To Honor and Serve was himself a $250,000 KEENOV weanling turned $575,000 purchase by Live Oak at this sale in 2009 and now stands at Gainesway. The stakes-winning Elnaawi (Street Sense) was a $500,000 KEESEP graduate in 2011. Angela Renee races as a homebred for Siena Farms. Pilfer was purchased by Three Chimneys' Goncalo Torrealba carrying a colt by Bernardini for $1.95 million at the 2012 Fasig-Tipton November sale. That foal, now named Billion Star, was a $750,000 purchase at this sale last year. Hip 511 will be raced in partnership with Coolmore, who will stand the Zayats' Triple Crown winner American Pharoah (Pioneerof the Nile) upon conclusion of his racing career.
