Uncle Mo Colt Gets the Job Done at Gulfstream

Uncle Mo

8th-GP, $40,000, Msw, 12-26, 2yo, 1m, 1:36.88, ft.

RALLY CRY (c, 2, Uncle Mo–Alienated {SW}, by Gone West) was hammered down to 1-5 favoritism for his Aqueduct debut Nov. 20, where he finished third behind 10-1 shot Luna de Loco (Malibu Moon) and Morse Code (Tapit), a half-brother to “TDN Rising Star” and MGISW Honor Code (A.P. Indy). Sent off as the 2-1 second choice this time around, the dark bay stalked from a two-wide third through sharp early splits of :22.39 and :44.61. Drawing alongside favored Wheels Up Now (Smart Strike) turning for home, the juvenile shut the door on the rival in mid-stretch and kicked clear to a three-length success. The $250,000 BARMAR juvenile and $160,000 KEESEP yearling is the 28th winner for his freshman sire (by Indian Charlie). The winner is a half to Alienation (Rock Hard Ten), MGISP, $160,800. Lifetime Record: 2-1-0-0, $30,000. Click for the Equibase.com chart or VIDEO, sponsored by Fasig-Tipton.
