Queen's Trust was sent off the 9-2 second favorite and, denied a clear break, was able to recover and tuck in against the rail towards the rear of mid-division early. Making smooth progress on the home turn, the homebred was pushed up to take command approaching the furlong pole and only needed hand riding to easily account for Gravity Flow (Ire) (Exceed and Excel {Aus}) by 3 1/4 lengths. Secret Sense (Shamardal), the half-sister to Secret Gesture (GB) (Galileo {Ire}), was never able to land a blow and trailed in eighth. Queen's Trust's first three dams are all stakes winners, and Group 1 winners Warrsan (Ire) (Caerleon), Luso (GB) (Sales) and last year's dual French Classic winner Avenir Certain (Fr) (Le Havre {Ire}) appear under the third dam.
