REACH THE WORLD (c, 3, Tapit–Reach The Stars {Ire}, by Galileo {Ire}) closed strongly to finish within a length of stablemate Dabster (Curlin) in his one-mile unveiling here Jan. 16 and was hammered down to 3-5 favoritism to get the job done here. Coasting along through early fractions of :23.40 and :47.70, the gray kept on finding in the stretch to register a 3 1/4-length victory over Honor and Courage (Unbridled's Song). Don Alberto Corp. purchased the winner's dam Reach the Stars, a half-sister to champion Escena (Strawberry Road {Aus}), for $850,000 with this colt in utero at the 2013 Keeneland November. Reach the World himself was led out of the Keeneland sales ring unsold on a final bid of $975,000 22 months later at the 2015 September sale.
