Summer Revolution backed up an extremely impressive debut romp with another promising score in blazing time at Saratoga, earning 'TDN Rising Star' status. The chestnut was let go at 14-1 in his July 4 debut going seven furlongs at Belmont and broke a bit slowly from the rail before quickly making up ground and blowing away the competition in the stretch by 7 1/4 lengths with a 90 Beyer. Bet down to a nickel above 3-2 in this first try against winners, Summer Revolution broke smoothly under Irad Ortiz, Jr. and sat third early on before making a quick advance to challenge the leader by a quarter in :22.51. Taking over on the turn while blitzing through a :44.87 half-mile, he kicked clear strongly in the stretch and came home three lengths to the good in a very sharp final time of 1:21.03.
