The catalogue for the Ocala Breeders' Sales Company's March Sale of 2-Year-Olds in Training is now available at the company's website at www.obssales.com.
A total of 573 juveniles have been catalogued for the sale, to be held Tuesday and Wednesday, March 13 and 14, in Ocala, with 191 horses set to go under the hammer during the opening session. The company will stage three under-tack previews Thursday, March 8 (hips 1-191), Friday, March 9 (192-382) and Saturday, March 10 (383-573). All three sessions will begin at 8 a.m.
The OBS March sale has produced six champions, 29 millionaires and the winners of seven Breeders' Cup races. Recent graduates of the sale include GI TVG Pacific Classic hero Collected (City Zip), the late Irap (Tiznow), 'TDN Rising Star' El Areeb (Exchange Rate), American Anthem (Bodemeister) and Singapore SW Forever Young (Run Away and Hide).
Last year's March sale was topped by the $1.7 million Kerri Radcliffe paid for the filly Diamondsandpearls (Congrats), named a 'Rising Star' off a 6 1/4-length debut success at Santa Anita last July. Also among the sale's five seven-figure offerings was Instilled Regard (Arch), a $1.05-million purchase by OXO Equine's Larry Best and recent winner of the GIII Lecomte S. in New Orleans.
