The New York Racing Association (NYRA) and FOX Sports Ohio announced an agreement today to televise “Belmont Park Live” and “Saratoga Live” on select dates in 2017, it was announced Thursday. Coverage begins Saturday, June 8, with a telecast that includes Belmont's Stars and Stripes Racing Festival from 6pm to 7pm E.T.
“Thanks to Fox Sports, and their regional sports networks across the country, tens of millions of fans and horseplayers have access to live coverage of NYRA's world class racing throughout the year,” said Tony Allevato, President of NYRA Bets and Executive Producer for NYRA television. “We thank them for their commitment to horse racing and look forward to presenting our Stars and Stripes Racing Festival this Saturday to a national audience.”
Fox Sports Ohio will air 21 “Saratoga Live” shows beginning on Monday, July 24 and concluding with the final Saturday of the 2017 Saratoga meet September 2.
