Hip 204, a colt by More Than Ready realized a final bid of $750,000 at Monday's opening session of the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic 2yo in Training sale in Timonium, Maryland. Trainer Simon Callaghan bought the juvenile on behalf of an undisclosed client. Consigned by Hartley/de Renzo Thoroughbreds, the dark bay is out of Canadian champion handicap mare Embur's Song (Unbridled's Song). From the family of Preakness winner Exaggerator (Curlin), the Bridlewood Farm-bred colt covered an eighth in :10.1 during last week's breeze show. He was a $500,000 purchase at the Keeneland September sale last fall.
