The Maryland Jockey Club has put together a schedule of 42 stakes with $4.275 million through the end of 2019. The Pimlico meet concludes Monday and racing returns to Laurel, which will offer 13 stakes worth $1.1 million during their summer meet that runs May 31 through Aug. 18.

Laurel's fall meet will behind Sept. 6 with two Super Saturdays, starting with Sept. 21, which will feature eight stakes worth $1.2 million, topped by the GIII De Francis Memorial Dash and the GIII Baltimore-Washington International Turf Cup. The Sept. 28 program will have six stakes worth $600,000 and the annual Maryland Million day will be Oct. 19 with another sextet of $100,000 stakes.

“We're always excited about the summer and fall racing seasons, the competitive fields, and running on our world-class turf course,” said Maryland Jockey Club President and General Manager Sal Sinatra. “Once again we have some big weekends planned, some great events, and an innovative stakes schedule which we believe will attract some of the country's top horses and horsemen.”
