Arienza ran to her blue blood at first asking, scoring by 2 1/2 lengths sprinting over this track Mar. 6. She was 1-2 for her much-anticipated return and initial route attempt. The $800,000 KEESEP yearling bounded to the lead and made all the running with little pressure from her closest foe through splits of :23.72 and :48.05. She was challenged briefly turning for home, but reclaimed her edge while racing a bit greenly into the lane and was ridden out under almost no encouragement to score by 2 1/2 lengths. Hidatsa (Proud Citizen) was second. "I told [rider Gabriel Saez] that if she runs like I hope she does to try and save a little in the tank in case we want to come back in two weeks [for the GII Fantasy S.]," said conditioner Danny Peitz. "He didn't have to hit her and it looks like he tried to do that–-to leave something in the tank." Owner Lawana Low added, "We love her so much. She's such a sweetheart and we've had such high hopes for her ever since we bought her, really. To be out of Azeri, to win a couple races at Oaklawn–-here in Hot Springs. It's just such a [perfect] fit. We knew she was fast from her first race. To see her go a mile today. We're just really excited. We're on cloud nine." Lifetime Record: 2-2-0-0, $49,500.
