Having attracted support into 3-1 joint-second favoritism in the race won by last year's G2 Cherry Hinton S. scorer Please Sing (GB) (Royal Applause {GB}), Jaber Abdullah's homebred daughter of his champion Queen's Logic missed a beat from the gates and had to play catch-up early. Weaving her way through the pack under Martin Dwyer, the chestnut quickened impressively to collar Tomintoul Singer (Ire) (Johannesburg) with 150 yards remaining before stretching away for a decisive 1 3/4-length success. "She's a smart filly and might well go straight to Royal Ascot now, according to Brian [Meehan]," her rider commented. "I was pleased with the way she did it and I had enough horse to be patient and come through them to teach her a bit. She still ran a bit green and Brian's horse's usually come on massively for their first start, but she was still good enough to win and so hopefully she'll improve." Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, £4,857. O: Jaber Abdullah | B: Rabbah Bloodstock LLC | T: Brian Meehan. |
