  Delaware Park, Race 7, Alw, 43,760, NW1X, 2yo, 1m, 1:37 3/5, ft

  Old Fashioned, C, 2, by Unbridled's Song

1st Dam: Collect Call (MGSW & MGISP, $434,000), by Meadowlake
2nd Dam: Negative Pledge, by Alleged
3rd Dam: Laredo Lass, by Bold Ruler

An $800,000 Keeneland September graduate, Old Fashioned was sent off at debut odds of 12-1 going six furlongs over this main track Oct. 6 and closed from the latter half of the field to tag Sunday Blitz, winner of Monday's sixth race by a nose in a highly rated affair. Adding Lasix for the stretch out to two turns, the Fox Hill runner found himself in tight quarters into the first turn, but fought his way out of trouble to lead to the backstretch. Handled with supreme confidence by Terry Thompson, the gray began to lengthen away from the field at the quarter pole and drew off to score by some 15 1/2 impressive lengths. A.P. Cardinal (A.P. Indy) was hard ridden to challenge for the lead turning for home, but weakened to finish fourth. The winner is also a half to Kauai Calls (Fusaichi Pegasus), who topped the 2005 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga sale on a bid of $2 million. Lifetime Record: 2-2-0-0, $53,280.
