  Gulfstream Park, Race 7, Alw, 41,500, 3yo, 1m (off turf), 1:35 3/5, ft

Big Brown, C, 3, by Boundary

1st Dam: Mien, by Nureyev
2nd Dam: Miasma, by Lear Fan
3rd Dam: Syrian Circle, by Damascus

Big Brown, who could now be heading towards the GI Blue Grass S., according to owner IEAH’s Mike Iavarone, romped home an 11 1/4-length debut winner over the Saratoga lawn for trainer Pat Reynolds last summer, but had not been out since. IEAH bought into the colt after his maiden win. Trying the main track when this affair came off the turf, the imposing bay was never far back, charged into the lead in upper stretch and sailed home a 12 3/4-length winner as the 6-5 favorite. The colt, who cost $60,000 as a FTKOCT yearling, sold for $190,000 after working a quarter in :21.1 at the KEEAPR sale. Lifetime Record: 2-2-0-0, $62,700.
