A full to the good grass horse Senor Swinger, MGSW, $963,937, Senorita Swinger rallied for third sprinting over course and distance Jan. 21 and showed her readiness for this with a bullet four-furlong breeze at Palm Meadows Mar. 12. The dark bay, a $200,000 KEENOV weanling, was adding Lasix this time and went postward as the 4-5 pick. She got away alertly from stall five and led the way through splits of :22 3/5 and :45 3/5, then drew off down the lane with only nominal encouragement from jockey Javier Castellano. It was 5 1/2 lengths back to Say You Will (Ire) (A.P. Indy). Senorita Swinger hails from connections who have enjoyed success with offspring of El Prado (Ire). Jimmy Jerkens conditioned Artie Schiller, a son of the Adena stallion, to a win in the 2005 GI Breeders’ Cup Mile for owner Timber Bay Farm. The victress is also a half to Swing to the Beat (Spanish Drums), MSP, $233,546; and Romantic Notions (Sezyou), GSP, $184,251. Lifetime Record: 2-1-1-0, $30,020. O: Timber Bay Farm | B: Bob Ackerman (KY) | T: James Jerkens |
