Sent off the 6-5 choice, Belgravia was a well-covered sixth early, swung out five wide for the drive and kicked clear late to graduate by 1 3/4 lengths over Silver Express (Unbridled’s Song). A $190,000 KEENOV weanling, the flashy chestnut was selected by Tom Ryan for Bradley Thoroughbred Brokerage and Nick de Meric’s D&B Venture and purchased for $180,000 at last year’s KEESEP sale. D&B hit a pinhooking home run when the colt resold to Demi O’Byrne for $2 million at the Fasig-Tipton Calder sale. Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, $31,225.
