  BREMEN, 2.50, Mdn, 10,000, 2yo, 7fT, 1:26.37, gd

Persian Storm (Ger), C, 2, by Monsun (Ger)

1st Dam: Private Life (Fr) (MSP-Fr), by Bering (GB)
2nd Dam: Poughkeepsie (Ire), by Sadler’s Wells
3rd Dam: Pawneese (Ire), by Carvin II (Fr)

Persian Storm enjoyed notability before setting foot on the track, courtesy of topping the sheets at last September’s BBAG yearling sale. His eagerly anticipated debut was welcomed by the crowd, who hammered the Eu300,000 purchase into 17-10 favoritism at the tills. He did not disappoint supporters, arriving on the scene with a dominant stretch display against a select cast. Settled in the wake of the leader along the rail in third, he was angled out to challenge with 2 1/2 furlongs remaining. Quickening to an outright advantage approaching the final eighth under newly retained jockey Terence Hellier, Persian Storm required little more than minimum effort in the latter stages for an easy 1 1/4-length score from Molly Max (Ger) (Big Shuffle). The winner will now point to the prestigious G3 Preis des Winterfavoriten at Cologne Oct. 15. Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, Eu6,000.

O: Baron Georg von Ullmann | B: Dr Christoph Berglar | T: Peter Schiergen
